Asthma UK at the Broad Gallery on 30 March 2010
This exclusive viewing held in aid of Asthma UK will showcase some of the most renowned 20th century masterpieces on paper. In addition, there will be an opportunity to win a Renoir and bid on a variety of celebrated artwork, including a Gavin Turk.
This private event provides guests with an opportunity to view and purchase from the Broad Gallery’s rich and diverse collection of original lithographs, etchings and mixed media prints by the most celebrated artists of the modern era.
Thirty-five percent of all artwork sold on the night will go towards improving the lives of the 5.4 million people in the UK living with asthma. Many people fail to realise that asthma kills three people and hospitalises 200 people every day. Breathing isn’t a luxury for most of us, but for people with asthma it can be. You can help make a difference by attending Asthma UK at the Broad Gallery and supporting the vital work of this organisation.
Please join us on 30 March 2010 at 6.30pm for wine and canapés and some of the most prominent art pieces of the 20th century. Tickets cost £35 and include entry to the raffle to win Seated Nude, a black and white etching from original plates by Pierre Auguste Renoir. This work is dated circa 1900 and is valued at £1,000.
