Launched by the New Muscovy Company in 2005 at Guards Polo Club, the largest and most exclusive polo club in Europe, Ivan The Terrible Challenge 2009 was an exciting sporting and social event, blended with a touch of international glamour. The event was a mix of fashion, rock and royalty, where HH Princess Olga of Russia, Vivienne Westwood and Jay Kay from Jamiroquai were special guests.
The hottest day of the summer saw not a cloud in the sky. Crowds were happily sipping champagne, Ivan Vodka and Viru beer whilst looking at the polo players from Moscow Polo Club and Guards Club play a fast and furious game. Ivan The Terrible trophy was won by Moscow Polo Club.
After the game the guests were wined and dined by Mossimans whilst rising money for the Romanov Fund for Russia. |
