Established in 2005 at Guards Polo Club, THE IVAN THE TERRIBLE CHALLENGE is the first and only polo tournament in UK, where Russian teams play. It is an exclusive private event with a “county fair” feel, blended with a touch of international glamour.
THE IVAN THE TERRIBLE CHALLENGE is a wholly charitable event with all proceeds being donated to good causes.
Following the success of previous years, on 29th May 2010 the CHALLENGE again will play host to a unique selection of high profile polo players, patrons and spectators from across the world.
Come join us for some champagne and wine on the house (courtesy of Mumm Champagne and Fins Colombier Wines), all day and evening polo, and a party till midnight (carriages back to London from Guards will be provided.
We are proud to note that the event is held under the patronage of HRH Prince Michael of Kent and HH Princess Olga of Russia. Among the other notable guests confirmed are Vivienne Westwood and Kevin Spacey.
Inspired by the Speakeasies of the 1920’s and Rick’s Bar (Casablanca) – The Committee Speakeasy is a new concept where members can rest and watch polo during the day, have drinks at the bar with their friends (or at a private table) and party till late into the night, whilst being entertained by world-class DJ and performers.
