Inspired by his French heritage and his love of Japanese cuisine, Jerome has created a versatile menu with wide appeal, executed by head chef Sang Keun, which includes a selection of lavish platters, sashimi, tartars and tempura to share. A la carte options include a selection of mini burgers: Wagyu beef, venison, Dorset crab and lobster, and other innovative dishes such as scallops and parmesan curd with truffle foam, sea bass tsukury with shiso salsa and crispy kelp, and abalone and foie gras toban yaki.
Molecular cocktails will feature prominently on the drinks list, alongside an international 1,600-bin wine list with eight available by the glass, including a different Meursault each week. Additionally, there will be a selection of sake available. The list will also feature a number of Prestige Champagne, Ruinart Blancs de Blancs and Dom Perignon will be available by the glass.
Meursault, the main character in L’etranger, the novel written by French existentialist and Nobel Prize winner Albert Camus, was the inspiration behind the decadent and elegant interior. With an emphasis on comfort and quality, the interior designed by Andy Martin, will feature natural stone, glass, leather, and marble detail, and a striking, intricately designed ceiling by award-winning illustrator Noumeda Carbone. Inspired by the Belle Époque, it will incorporate 18,000 LED lights.
l’etranger launched in 2002 and has since firmly established itself as one of the most successful and respected restaurants in London. |
